Bear's Den offers all of the comforts of home (and more) but with a view you've been dreaming of!
The living room boasts cathedral ceilings and wall to wall glass to take in the beautiful mountain scenery along with a large HD television with DVD player, a stacked stone electric fireplace for a chilly or romantic evening and a comfy sectional with a sleeper sofa.
The master bedroom has a rustic, king size log bed and a stacked stone fireplace as well as a romance-inspiring, heart-shaped jacuzzi tub. To make your stay even more memorable you have an amazing mountain view from the all glass wall in the bedroom.
Upstairs in the loft, you'll find lots to do for fun in the game room which includes a Pac Man arcade that has a total of 60 games on it, a ride-on racing game and NFL Blitz. All games are set on free play. You also have a pool table, air hockey and foosball tables.
When you get tired, you can rest and recharge on the loft's king size bed or a movie on the TV/ DVD player and enjoy the electric fireplace.
Through the master bedroom and out onto the deck, you can enjoy the premium jacuzzi hot tub. Relax and just soak in the great outdoors!
This is where you can also access the lower level where you will find a fireplace and HD television with DVD player and more games which consist of scat cat skee ball, lil hoops basketball and Arctic Thunder snowmobile racing arcade! (games are all set on free play)
Better yet, you will also find your own private theater room with a 135" screen and 6 plush theater seats comfy enough for even the longest of trilogies! Please note: to access the lower level (theater with bathroom), guest have to walk outside onto the covered deck and downstairs. For most people this is not an issue, but if you do not want to go outside onto the back deck to access this lower level we would not recommend this cabin for you. Please note, our satellite/cable feeds are not available in the theatre rooms. We have connections for streaming* and dvd or blu-ray players for media. Bear's Den Testimonials
“Our family (Mom, Dad, and five children ranging from 1 to 13) stayed in this cabin for a week and loved it! Our biggest complaint was the fitted sheet in the master bedroom would not stay in place which made sleeping uncomfortable. The furniture is different than in the pictures. There is plastic theater seating in the basement with the projector, not plush recliners as shown. The living room furniture is also different; not as fancy as what is shown. The woods around the cabin have grown up so that the best view is from the 2nd floor rear windows. The hot tub worked, but is on a different side of the rear porch. The basement is only accessible by going through the master bedroom, outside on a deck, and down a spiral staircase. I would only allow older kids to sleep down there. The games were fun, especially the 80s arcade game with Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, and about 25 others. They do have some steak knives now, in case you were worried. We had an issue with the projector bulb and a bulb above the cook top. Both were repaired the same day by very courteous and friendly maintenance staff. The roads are scary; they taught me why vehicles have low gears. I used Low 1 and 2 gears in our van while going up or down the steep hills. We saw a mamma bear and three cubs outside the cabin one morning which made the trip for our kids. ”

“My husband and I and 3 kids (ages 12-18) booked the Bears Den for a quick 3 night family getaway. My husband is a police officer and did not get off duty until 7pm so we set out from Atlanta around 8pm to make the 4 hour drive. There was a little snow on the ground as we topped the mountains and we were able to see all the city lights and Christmas decorations aglow. I will agree with the other visitors, that once you get in the area of the Bears Den it is a nerve racking, twisting, steep, narrow climb. I would suggest that you have a 4 wheel drive and if you are not comfortable with these types of roads that you get everything you need and head back to the cabin before dark. However the owner did provide perfect directions and even though it is a rural area we had no problems locating the cabin. The cabin is beautifully decorated and full of entertainment for children of ALL ages. We rented a movie from the local Red Box and enjoyed the theater. Everything worked perfectly (we did not use the hot tub; but I would be willing to bet it was perfect as well). The master bed could use a new mattress but other than that we had no problems at all. I would have no problem recommending this cabin, just again be prepared for the ride up.”

“I first want to say that the owners were great to work with. We booked at the last minute, and we received email responses and confirmations within minutes. I also liked that we had a keypad for check-in, rather than having to go to an office. We checked in rather late, which was probably a mistake on our part. It was dark, and some of the roads weren't marked as they should have been. We had debated on whether or not to bring our truck, a four wheel drive extended cab. So glad we didn't. There is no way we could have managed those roads with a large vehicle. The roads are extremely narrow, very windy, very steep. Had we met an oncoming car a couple of times, someone would have been off the road, and into a ravine. We've been to the area many times. We typcially come once or twice a year, and we've never encountered a cabin with roads like this. Our nerves were shot by the time we got to the cabin (it took us 45 minutes the first time once we were off the main roads). On a more positive note, the cabin was very clean. We've stayed at many cabins where the housekeeping was questionable. This one was a very nice surprise. The master bedroom mattress was excellent. Very comfortable. The strangest part of the cabin was the layout. The second bedroom is downstairs. The only way that we could find to get to it was to go through the master bedroom, out the back door, down the outside staircase, and use the keypad. Really inconvenient, and in our case, it made the bedroom unusable. We didn't feel safe with someone sleeping in a completely detatched room from the rest of the cabin. The downstairs was very musty smelling. Not sure why... The games were a huge hit. The kids loved them. Again, we were pleasantly surprised that the air hockey, pool table, and foosball tables had all of their parts. Every cabin we've ever stayed in was missing something that made them unusable. The arcade game upstairs worked fine. They didn't play the football one. Downstairs, the skeeball game worked fine, the basketball game was fine as well, although several of the balls were flat. The snowmobile game didn't work. The handlebar for the game is attached upside down!! Not sure how you fix that... We used two of the TVs and they worked great. We didn't cook any since we were there only two nights, but the kitchen looked very clean. Overall, the cabin was nice. The layout just makes it inconvenient for people with small children. And the drive...Whew!!”

“Cabin was great just as described. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. Roads to cabins were a little confusing and very narrow got lost a couple of times even with gps but the cabin was worth every penny. Stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Very clean and everything you need was there. Really liked the hot tub and the theater room. The master bedroom has a very comfortable bed. Will rent again from owner but maybe smaller cabin so we can stay alittle longer.”

“We stayed here over a 4 day weekend and had a marvelous time! It was me, my husband, my 13 year old son and my elderly parents. We all enjoyed Bear's Den. The cabin is well maintained and feels new. The drive to get up the mountain is treacherous but once you make it, what an oasis! We thoroughly enjoyed the movie room, the hot tub and all of the great space in this cabin. Angie was great to work with and responded quickly to any questions. ”

“We stayed at Mountain Bearadise beginning of August 2016 for a week. Booking and reserving was easy. I was very nervous about what to expect after reading other companies reviews. When we walked in and did our tour, I was amazed. Minus a few cosmetic flaws, the cabin was clean and decorated beautifully.”

“Just visited the Bears and Honey cabin 2 wks ago. This cabin is amazing. My family and I enjoyed it. If we ever visit TN again we will most definetly book from Fun Zone Cabins again. The only complaint I would have are there are hardly enough towels for the amount of people it sleeps and the pots and pans can be updates. Other than that, AWESOMENESS!”

“My wife and I rented one of their cabins back last August, and we and the kids were thrilled with the rental (Honey Bear). Place was immaculately clean and a great price given the multiple arcade units and skeeball machine, in addition to a pool table and hot tub. Owner was very easy/pleasant to work with.”
